네바다 진의 특징

네바다진은?

네바다진은 1998년 발견되 2001년 리바이스사가 옥션에서 구입한 재밌는 역사를 가지고 있는 데님팬츠입니다.

네바다의 탄광마을에서 한 남성이 소유한 땅을 채굴하던중 우연히 발견된 데님팬츠 입니다.

리바이스 501 모델이아닌 일반 광부용으로 조금더 저렴한 데님팬츠였습니다. 

네바다진의 특징

2022년 이전 까지는 세계에서 가장 오래된 데님팬츠라는 타이틀을 가지고 있었으나 2022년에 1857년도에 발매한 데님팬츠가 발견되 가장 오래된 데님팬츠는 아니였으나 재밌는 히스토리가 있는 데님팬츠 입니다.

 

네바다진을 발견한 남성은 빈티지를 수집하는 친구에게 그 데님을 주게 되는대 그후 2년후 네바다진을 받은 친구는 네바다진의 가치를 감정 받다 데님팬츠 의 역사중 가장 오래된 데님팬츠 라고 알게 됩니다.(2000년 당시)

당시 네바다진이 옥션을 진행시 판매자와 발견자의 이름을 공개하지 않기를 원했으며 경매 매출을 어떻게 나눌지에 관해서는 비밀로 알려져 있습니다.

해당 네바다진은의 감정은 리바이스의 히스토리언인 Lynn Downey에 의해 감정이 이루어졌습니다.

네바다진의 감정 평가는 1880년대 데님팬츠 로 추정되며 뉴햄프셔의 아모스케이그밀 데님을 사용했으며 캘리포니아의 리바이스사의 2개의 공장중(당시) 하나에서 제작되었으며 리바이스 501 모델이 아닌 탄광 광부용 모델로 제작되었습니다.

해당 데님팬츠 의 가격은 75센트로 판매되었으며 가죽 패치가 붙어 있던 흔적이 있다고 알려져 있습니다.

가죽패치는 1886년도 부터 부착이 되었기에 연대는 1886년대로 추정하고 있다고 감정결과가 알려져 있습니다.

2001년 당시 리바이스가 소유한 가장 오래된 데님팬츠는 추정연대가 1890년대의 데님팬츠였으나 해당 데님팬츠보다 더 오래된 데님팬츠를 구할수 있는 기회가 생긴 리바이스는 네바다진을 낙찰하게 되었습니다.

(여담으로 리바이스가 네바다진을 낙찰받은 금액은 46,532달러로 알려져있습니다.)
